Cleansing Oil

Although Cleansing balms share the same product properties as oil-based cleansing, they typically have a more solid and creamy texture with nourishing ingredients. They are perfect for removing makeup as they melt into a more oily texture on the skin, leaving more radiant skin. It also has no-rinse and rinse-off options, so you can leave it on your face after you apply it. 

Cleansing Water/Micellar

When it comes to K-beauty cleansing products, Micellar cleansing water is one of the lightest ones as it has a texture similar to plain water. It is only new to the cleansing family, but it quickly gained popularity due to its cleansing properties and its multi-purpose—cleansing, toner, and makeup remover. It contains tiny micelles (oil molecules) that remove dirt and makeup. Same with an oil-based cleanser, it doesn’t need to be rinsed off and is commonly applied using cotton pads.

Cleansing Gel

A Cleansing Gel has a clear, lightweight, and jelly-like consistency that provides deep cleansing even with one wash. It does not only remove all makeup excess, oil, and dirt, but it also unclogs pores, preventing acne formulation. Gel cleanser has a moisturizing effect with essential hydrating ingredients that makes the skin look fresh and radiant. But, unlike water-based and oil-based cleansers, it needs to be rinsed off once applied. 

Cleansing Foam

Ideal skin types: Oily and combination skin

Another great option for K-beauty cleansing products is the foam cleanser. It usually comes in either gel or cream formula with foamy consistency once mixed with water. The creamy or gel foam cleanses the accumulated dirt, makeup, and oil on your face, keeping your skin matte for a long period.

Getting a cleanser that is not suited to your skin type can cause acne breakouts, clogging, dehydration, and other skin sensitivity.
